A couple of decades ago, we investigated both Merlin and a magnetic ball sealing inlet, didn't actually try either.

We simply changed to a new septum every morning before use. Cost of a new septum is tiny compared to the cost of bad data.....
Merlin is application dependent. I can run 3000 injections through a liner without calibrating and get two years out of a curve on an ECD. If you're running nasty matrix and have non-target buildup in your liner/ front of column it would be harder to make a case for it.

We have observed even used merlins perform better on endrin breakdown checks over normal septa if that's a consideration for you.
Does anyone have a different (older) version of MSD chemstation they would be willing to share?
I've got replacement media for G1701AA, if your Agilent license number works with that.
Hey I'm a graduate student and I was looking to see if you still had G1701AA software. I'm also new to this site, so unsure if we can direct message or not. I saw that this was your most recent post where you talked about the software.

Rickybobby - since you're at a university and in USA, let me "gift" you with the software, typically I get about $50 for replacement media if I need to make a disc and mail it. You'd need to use your 10-digit Agilent license number, and I'll need to re-learn how to send a large file through the Internet, as it's about 35MB.

You'll need to post your E-mail address here.

Thanks for the quick reply. My group's email is Landry.group.uvm@gmail.com, let me know if there is a better route than email if the file is too large. Thanks again!
I sent G1701AA to you as an ISO Image
I sent G1701AA to you as an ISO Image
So I didn't receive the email, do you mind sending again?

I got an E-mail Monday from the file transfer site stating: "Your transfer has been downloaded by Landry.group.uvm@gmail.com. Follow the link in this email if you want to manage your upload."

So did you download or not???
