we have a few sticky proteins in our lab, which as you pointed out do not exhibit irreversible sticking, only enough to cause significant losses in solution at low concentrations. We deal with these by using silanized glass vials, or (where feasible) adding Tween to the sample. In one case, simply switching from glass to polypropylene vials prevents the sticking.
