It could have been a coincidence, but after having been forbidden a reply to a particualr post (and having been able to reply to other posts) for nigh on two days (!) I went to my profile and resubmiited it without changing anything, and voila ! I was unforbidden.

Have a good weekend

Peter

This sometimes happens to me as well. I copy the reply into Word, try re-posting it later.

this is really frustrating, tried to post for three days to inquiry. Created new account and still cannot post. I think this problem will eventually drive people away or convert them to "occasional readers". I am participating in a few boards (different subjects) and for some reason this is only one which gives "Prohibition" (and we are not back to 1920s)...LOL

this is very frustrating for me as well (I get bitten by the problem occasionally), but it's not consistent enough to get a handle on it to troubleshoot. Just when I think I've identified the conditions that make the bug bite, it goes away all on its own. :x

Tom,

I did some studies (with multiple variables) and I think that forbidden reply always appears when you have more than one url link in the body of your message. I think it is your anti spam filters, which are causing this.

Vlad, some of the people are running to the problem with no URL's so it's not the whole story -- BUT -- that suggestion made me search the phpBB forum (again!!!!) and I did come up with a suggestion to disable part of the built-in security. I've added the patch file to do that, and I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Let me know if the problem recurs (private e-mail is best, because I'm traveling this week and don't always have a chance to check the Forum).

And again, thanks to everyone for your patience!

HW, I have had that happen. I assumed it was the time of day I was posting, maybe it is a popular time (it's always lunch time somewhere...) -If I exit and check back later is is usually fine. :?
