I tried one of those GPID to USB adapters out in the far away time (the long, long ago) but never got it to work at all.

I do have a couple of 5890 II's running Chemstation A.09.03 with an 82350 HPIB card on Windows XPSP3 though.

I think that version of Chemstation and the GPIB card both need to be run in a Win95 system. I have G1701AA versions A.01.01 through C.03.00. You can Google a chemstation/OS/GC compatibility matrix to be sure.
