We can only assume that simyaci2501 made no changes in his headspace parameters such as vial size, temperature and time heated.

I had a similar problem on my GC
But change occured over one days running.
Problem was silica deposition on FID electrodes.
Silica was derived from a small amount stationary phase bleed.
I had short cut my conditioning with a new column and packing I had just made up.
I find a small diamond coated fine very useful for cleaning off silica scale when I get careless. Long term silica scale tends to be very hard and is a good electrical insulator.
Short term silica deposits are soft and powdery.
