If hot air is exiting the back of the GC when it's running a sample (and should be heating or holding heat), then hot air is exiting the oven compartment due to flaps being open or partially open. I just repaired a 5890 GC last week by replacing its oven flap motor to correct that problem, and have done 6890s as well. One time the flap rivet just gave away and I riveted the flap back on (once a mechanic, always a mechanic).

hi!

there is no air coming out the oven during a sample run. At last I found out that the interface was not heated properly, and caused the peaks not appearing.

Thanks for telling us the solution! There had to be a temperature problem anywhere and I am glad you found it.
