active site in your instrument
almost in inlet ( active site as result of high temp , when you lower temp of inlet you got something for this I think that active site in the inlet )

Are you running in split or splittless? If you are running splittless the sample has more time to come in contact with the inlet. This will promote breakdown of Endrin and DDT. Start at a higher oven temperature and use a high split flow. Using the CLP 1 & 2 from Restek, I start my oven at 120 C and ramp 9 C/min up to 300. Inlet temp is at 250 C. Split flow is 20:1 (I actually could bump it up a little if I wanted too). Running in split mode transfers the targets on to the column quicker and more efficiently and will reduce the amount of maintenance you will have to do. I can see a 20 ppb standard no problem.
