Hi ,

Apologies,, I only received information on viscosity late last week ,

So to summarise ,calibrate displacement pipette at 5ul with water ( accuracy < 2% precision <5% for example) and only use for nominal values.

No need for displacement pipette for viscous samples ?

So to summarise ,calibrate displacement pipette at 5ul with water ( accuracy < 2% precision <5% for example) and only use for nominal values. If you are using the pipette only for nominal volumes, AND you are weighing the samples then you do not need to calibrate the pipette

No need for displacement pipette for viscous samples ? That depends on whether you have an alternative way of dispensing the volume (mass) of sample that you need
