Hello

It is quite strange discussion...
You can not really compare 2 systems using absolute response for peaks. Below few thing that can affect absolute response:
- liner and glass wool position (evaporation problems for some compounds can cause different responses)
- makeup gas flow (small differences +/- 0.5 ml/min can affect peak height)
- electronics (you will never have 2 identical electrometers)

I agree with previous comments: you need to provide more information...and if you think that it doesn't matter my answer is: it matters :)

Thanks for your reply.
this makes sense , though never had, from an HPLC point of view, an identical system that could not run a related substances method due to sensitivity.
This is the problem between the GC's (can only run one for res solvents)
