Looking for Waters 996 DAD Service Manual or Error Codes

Today I have tested my detector by Millenium diagnostic tests. Surprisingly, it passed all test except two - lamp was ignited at the second run ( 400 h on counter) and 485 nm test was failed ( delta 2.5 nm). I hope I can work with it for the beginning, and then replace the lamp.

These 996 detectors almost always fire up the lamp on the 2nd attempt. , even on new lamps. that is usually not a problem.

You might want to run a caffeine standard to verify the wavelength accuracy. Maxima should be at 273.3nm

Thank you ! I will finish with pumps and software (Gilson 305/306, 232 autoinjector, UniPoint software, 506C interface) and will make all standard tests - detector linearity response, wavelength accuracy, column performance tests. I worked much with Gilson-Rainin-Dynamax, but this is my first experience with Waters. Unfortunately, old Gilson's DAD works bad, but I need such a detector due to my specific tasks.

HI Experts,
I am looking for the Wayter 996 PDA DIP Switches Address Definition for the IEEE-488 address. In the manual there is written: ".. Refer to Millennium Chromatography Manager System Config Guide Table 2-2, for the correct IEEE-488 DIP switch settings for each address." Unfortunately this Guide is not handy here and I would like so use the NI GBIP-USB-HS Adapter to use it on an Ezchrome HPLC System. Section 2.3.1 Connecting IEEE-488 Devices, ...", but even this Manual is not handy. Thank you very much for this information. I will try to connect with Waters technical support in my country, but I strongly suspect that they will recommended me to buy new Breeze or Aliance (approx. $150000-200 000 in Russia)
