Thanks Shaun78 for your comments. It makes me feel better to hear that someone who has gotten so deep into the software has had the same problems that we are having here. Until we can get a different software package, we are going to have to be very careful that we always get the correct data. Hard to believe that a company as big as PE has so little regard for customer satisfaction. However, 20 years ago when I was doing atomic spectroscopy, I had the same type of experience with PE and vowed to never let them in my lab again. Unfortunately, I didn't take my own advice and I'm stuck with them again.

Thanks,

Karen

Karen,

I understand your constraints and feel badly for you throughout that duration.

In the meantime, I have used TurboChrom and TotalChrom combined for about 8 years. As mentioned, I executed PE's validation scripts on their software. If there is anything I can be of assistance with, please ask; I will do what I can to help and share what I have learned along the way.

I do have to agree with you, I was shocked at PE's stance on this issue...

Shaun

I know this is an older thread, but wonder if any of the experts may be able to help.
I am a long-time Chromeleon (WS6.8) user, and have a PE Flexar that I need to run.
I would like to use my Chromeleon, if I have to I will just do acquisition with contact closure, but wonder if I can actually get some of the control panels to talk to the LC?
I need something beyond the marketing that talks about third-party control. Something about actually setting it up.
I won't go into the issues with PE software, or support. We are now and will continue to be a Chromeoleon lab.
Thanks
