Couple of quick comments. 1) I would not use a drying column, I would just add a dab of sodium sulfate to your extract. If it clumps up, add a little more. 2) Regarding emulsions, centrifuging works really well if the sample volume is small enough. 3) If you evaporate, then you are going to have to bring the sample up to a known volume. This means a little more manipulation. If you are using LVI, you probably don't need concentration to get down to 1 to 5 ppm.
All of which is geared around a minimum of sample handling which you laid out earlier.
