I use caffeine in water (microwave to put in solution) and adjust to aprox. 1 AU. Water in other pump. Use back pressure regulator and no column.
Helium sparge degassing. Never had problems with linearity of detectors. This is a fairly low cost method and no worries about the acetone boiling off the resovoirs, etc.
