Is HP-1 columns compatible with base?

I have a reaction in NaOMe/MeOH, and needs to analyze the run with GC.
I assume you need to do a mini-extraction each time you take a sample.
I am having a hard time extracting out all the organics, because they are surfactants and miscible to either phases.
If HP-1 column is compatible with NaOMe, I can shoot the sample as is. But just from its structure, I assume it is not. Or can it tolerate to some level?
You might want to consider a carbowax precolumn to trap the polar basic components in your matrix. But as you have noted any silicone phase upon which you put a strong base will begin a continuing dissolution of the silicone.

A little is bad and more will only work faster, less will still work pretty quickly.

You could try a SCOT column coated with squalane or a packed column.

Sometimes older technologies do work better.

For our FAME analysis, we derivatize the sample with a solution of hexane/chloroform/sodium methoxide and inject that solution without cleanup. We use an inlet liner with a glass wool plug and a DB-23 column and can get over 2,000 injections before replacing the column. Of course the inlet liner need replacing on a regular basis.
