VB-1 it is a ValcoBOND capillary column and is 100% dimethylpolysiloxane

You give no ID and film thickness.
Even so, it is very difficult unless subambient temperatures are used to separate CO2 and air using gas-liquid capillary columns.
A 8 meter 25% methyl silicone on Chromosorb P packed column can separate CO2 from ethane and propane even at 60C (140F) and air separates from methane well.
This is not possible using the bonded capillary column you mention.
best wishes,
Rod

Thank for you quick reply.
Currently I am using VB-1 capillary column (100% dimethypolysiloxane) and is 30m x 0.53mm ID x 5.00um Film. just wanted to separate the CO2 from Air.

Drop your temperature to -40C or so and they may separate. I do not know for certain the temperature required for that column. Of course, if you use a porous polymer PLOT capillary column it should be no problem even at 80C.

Thanks Rod, I am currently trying it now. I am new on GC specifically on system GC.
