Hi, I'm interested in developing a method for the determination of borax (sodium tetraborate), either by HPLC or GC, but information is scarce, anyone know if possible?
Borate is sometimes used as a high pH buffer such as OPA derivatizations. An an analyte I think you would have to go to ion chromatography.
What level, and in what type of matrix?

One way is titration after adding mannitol.
Ion chromatography would be the obvious way but I am sure HILIC would also work with ELSD
We have this application for a range of other ions but Borax should also work.
