Novice at GC...are Area [pA*s] and Area (counts) the same thing? Can I compare the two? I ran the same analysis on two intruments with two different softwares. Got different results. Just want to make sure these two are comparible.

Thanks in advance for your help!

The number of *counts* is about 2056 times the value of the pA number.

best wishes,

Rod
Wow thank Rod! This helps alot. I ran Agilen vs Varian. Do you know how to set the reporting in Agilent to give me "area counts?"
MCP
I don't believe it can be changed.

Another feature you have to enjoy. But some hate to enjoy.

But making things unchangeable has its good side as well as its bad.

You pay your money and take what you get.

best wishes,

Rod
