Any thoughts on how this might affect product offerings from either Thermo or Dionex?

Hi,

My interpretation of the press release (http://www.dionex.com/en-us/events/corp ... 89289.html) is that Thermo wanted Chromeleon and it will replace Atlas. Atlas lacks search capability and has small market penetration while Chromeleon has succeded extremely well, especially among companies that selects the CDS purily from cost-benefit merits, not from considerations to intalled base within the company.
I think that is also very important for thermo to have a better LC system to couple it wth their MS. I have even seen that they put and Thermo brand to an Agilent LC when they couple it to their MS and don't forget that IC is a growing market.
