Method Accuracy

We have developed and validated a method with an accuracy acceptance criteria of 80 to 110% recovery (for actives in animal feed). The recovery value was consistent across several different concentration and was around 85%. As we have shown in the short term that this recovery is repeatable we are planning to introduce a correction factor to bring this up to 100%. We would very long term accuracy by running an accurately prepared sample with each analysis.

Has anyone performed anything similar or have any comments?

Thanks

Animal feed is a regulated commodity (in many countries). You may wish to consult with your authorities to find out their expections for method performance and validation.
