I used to have similar problems with getting the BFB to pass. We've moved our GC-MS to a new lab recently and I've had no issues since. The new lab is much cooler than the old one and this might have helped. Have you looked at storing the BFB solution in the fridge between uses?

What kinda of source do you have? Inert? Non-inert? and who makes it? Agilent? EST? We've recently bought an EST inert source and their specs for use didn't work with our instruments to well so much so that mass 175 wasn't showing up either.
So we set everything back to what our Agilent source was running at, ran a manual tune on it and 175 showed back up.
