Yes, I did.John, did you remedy this problem? I am having the same problems with my 5890 Series II gc.
From my maintenance log:
Started analysis method and got this error:
FAULT: DET A TEMP RDG
All heating zones seemed to be defective; oven, injectors, and detectors. Oven reading 824, detector reading -200.
Replaced main board upon suggestions from chromforum.com. Was still getting similar errors after replacing main board.
Replaced oven temperature sensor only and instrument started functioning as needed...? Not sure how one bad sensor could make all others stop working. Regardless, this worked and was not very difficult.
Hope this helps!
John

Hello,
I am working on the same GC and got the same message (FAULT:TEMP RDG DETA) and after replacing the oven sensor my temperature is not reading correct. I am getting the Actual -200 deg and set 50 deg which is incorrect reading. I am not even using Detector A and not sure why the original message appeared. However the fault message is gone but the problem still exist. Please help. Thanks
