I need to know what VOC's need to be tested for when elephant grass is being tested for biomass material.

VestelShirleys the usual suspects, phthalate esters and naphthols, these are typical by-products of grass (no pun intended) thermal conversion at low temperatures into renewables. When I was a student back at UW my chem teacher specialize in this biofuel conversion research. I fondly recall hearing her dissert about grass, pyrolisis and phthalates. They ought to be fairly easy to chromatograph--given the proper combination of column phase and oven ramp temp.

Thanks.
