I am seeing a low level background of acetophenone in waters on my mass spec running EPA 8270. We run liquid-liquid extraction. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Amy
try HPLC grade extraction solvents it could be from the extraction solvents.
These internals are used because you rarely find them in nature, so there is little to no chance of contamination.
