Agilent PAD detector for PE HPLC system

Will it work with or without some changes? Anyone has experience using a HPLC detector from a different manufcature than the one providing the software packag and the rest of the system? Waht should be considered? Thanks a lot.

As long as it can take a start signal in the form of a contact closure and/or deliver a start signal the same way, you should have no problem getting it to zero and/or initiate any programmed steps upon injection. It just has to be setup via its own keypad or controller interface... (it has one, right?).
