We are just using a Thermo Quantum Ultra since 6 month. It seems, that the machine is unstable in the masses >1000 d.
Not easy to find out, but now also the technician beleves it.
Does anyone of you have similar experiances with Thermo?
How do you consider the general quality of these machines?

We have 8 Thermo ion traps, one LTQ-FT-MS (ion-trap-FT) and one old TSQ. They all perform pretty well.

Your problem sounds a little bit odd, but it can be an isolated problem with the instrument you have. Is the technician, someone from Thermo or is he someone that works in your labs and just operates your MS?

The technician is from thermo.
Before they thought, its a substance specific problem. But now, they saw, that the calibration (of the machine MW etc.) is worse even after one week. So it seems a fault of the machine. Lower MW stuff works well so far.
