Dear All,
My colleague is going to design a test method focusing on stain chemistry.
He want to know, is there any HPLC column filled with cellulose?
Thank you in advance.
Michelle

A company called Chiral Technologies sells cellulose columns, which are cellulose coated onto sillica gel. Also, I think all of their products are 100% derivatized cellulose. If you want a underivatized cellulose on sillica gel, they may custom pack a column for you.

General drawback of these columns is the stability (so I have heard), cannot use certain solvents that will dissolve the derivatized cellulose, and they cannot withstand pressure very well. Recently, they unveiled a bonded cullulose on sillica gel column that should be more durable.
