Thanks!

Now I am wondering, why there are these research efforts in Europe about classifying columns. If a column is given, what is the problem of not using it?

I can ask you the same question about the USP.

The life for EP azithromycin method with XTerra RP18 column is countdown (is a very irreproducible method). Pharmaeuropa, vol. 17, nº 1, january 2005 describe a new gradient method for related substances (with a XTerra MS18 column) and a new isocratic method for assay (with Asahipak ODP-50 column).

I hear that Phenomenex Synergi Fusion RP is polar embedded C 18 column. But I do not know its ability to be run under high temperature used in the EP/BP method (70 C).
