I use a 0.05% solution of sodium azide for the storage of chromatography columns. The matrix in the columns is mainly CnBr activated sepharose, but I also have heparin sepharose, Q sepharose and butyl sepharose as well as others.
I am hoping to replace the current storage solution with something less toxic and was looking into 20% ethanol. Unfortunately I have not had much luck finding any literature about this.
Any advice or suggestions in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
