Hi all, I try to buy a Multi probe APCI/ESI any commets about it??
Any have experiencie with these kind of Switching ionization modes?
Advantages and disadvantages?

Thanks !

Hi Dcobice,

I never worked with a apci/esi (multi) probe but I heard that the reproducibility and the linearity is not that great. My feeling is that if you need to do quantification work you would get more problems than advantages. However if you want to use it for screening then it might be useful.

But as I said I am not a user.

Thanks very much, for the reply. I will use only for qualitative information may be sometimes will use for quantitative, in this case I will try to change the probe manually.

I just got a ESCi multiboard installed in a ZQ, being able to awitch between ESI and APCI during the same injectino is great, however, sensitivity is slightly lower. I primarily use it to test which mode I will use in a actual run. You can actually set it up to do ASI + - and APCI + - all in one go (I've yet to try).
