Can we use Dichloromethane in supelcosil LC-18-DB column?

sure, why not? why would you?

thanks alex,

one of our client wants to use this column with DCM and with a gradient program of,
Time (minutes) DCM, Methanol
0 10 90
20 10 90
55 50 50
60 50 50
60.1 10 90
70 10 90

Be careful if you have PEEK parts in your hplc system. I believe PEEK may have compatibility problems with DCM, but I might be wrong.

I would ask the client to explain the method to me, and also I would ask him if he ever ran this method on more than one column.

Imh has right. Mobile phases with % DCM higher than 5% can cause incompatibility issues with PEEK tubings or columns.

If it is an Agilent system that you are using, the supply different piston seals for normal phase work.
