ECD radiation leak wipe test Agilent 8890 uECD

When doing the wipe test on an ECD, do you just disconnect the column from the makeup gas adapter, or do you actually drop the makeup gas adapter and wipe the outside of that?

Looks like it - the way I've done it in the past (not on uECDs though) has been to just wipe around the ferrule/nut without disconnecting the column.
