I am trying to get an Agilent 1200 DAD detector up and running with Thermo Xcalibur but have run into some problems. It will start up fine but won't stop when the method ends. Therefore i would like to get my hands on the Service manual for the DAD detector.. Does anyone have a copy of this? I would like to see if it's possible to give the detector an external stop signal..

Thanks!
Kind regards

Does this help?

Do you mean that you trying to turn off the module after ending a sequence of injections?

No, sorry for being unclear. The problem is the detector doesn't stop aquireing.. so the next sample isn't run as the detector isn't ready..

I have also found the userguide but I didn't find the information i needed in it. I was hoping to find some information about how to give the detector an external stop signal (if possible)
Kind regards

The www manual suggests the 1200 has the same APG remote plug on the back as the 1100, which should mean it has start and stop ( on p27, 34, 36 of www manual ).

I think the remote connection may do what you require, but you may have to watch for what the state and voltage formats are. If that data isn't in the 1200 manual, the 1100 DAD manual probably has it.

[ Update - The 1100 DAD hardcopy reference manual has the information on the remote interface. It's a bit too complicated to describe here, but if you can't find it on Agilent's site, I can email a scan of the section. ]

Please keep having fun,
