Hello!

Anyone could recommend me a simple standard/ mixture to check the performance of a DB-5MS column (using MS detector)?
I am thinking of a mixture of analytes/ solvents, nothing too expensive or that requires certification.

Thanks in advance :)
Whip up something like this.

Whenever I've purchased a new GCMS system from Agilent, they install a 5-phase column and use this test mix to ensure it's good.
Consider using the Grob Test Mix - I’ve used it to monitor performance and it has a lot of historical data on what it should look like. It will also almost certainly stay available in the future.

Available from Merck, Restek and the other usual suspects.
