I was asked to recalibrate the D7504 method from some other lab for all aromatic components. For some reason, I cannot edit these response factors attached. This is a single point calibration by method.

Not sure how to add a pic here Image
Are you using Empower software? You can edit the response factor through your processing method by selecting the Y Value drop down, which is typically area, but can be height, a custom field etc and the X value is typically amount but again can be selected to be any appropriate value you like. Save the processing method, integrate some data and the response factor, Y divided by X, appears in the peak table under RF.
Hello,

Thank you for your response. I'm using ChemStation B.04.03 probably the last version before they moved on to CDS.

ASTM D7504 does give you response factors for each component and when I tried to enter them, it does not let me change them either from offline or online while editing method parameters.
I may be completely wrong here. However EPA methods (e.g. SW846 8260 VOC's) typically give response factors as suggested or required performance targets. The software does not let you change them. You have to have system performance that can match the suggested response factors.
Got it. Thank you.
