Hi,

I am verifying a BP Monograph method, using equivalent column as BP and using all other conditions exactly same as the Monograph. The retention time of the active peak in Monograph is about 17 min. At our end, retention time is 23 minutes. The injection run time is 60 min. All RRT at our end, are same as BP Monograph method.
Is 23 min run time of the active peak acceptable when BP said about 17? Is 6 min variation in a 60 min run time ok? or should I play around with conditions to get RT closer to 17 min? I personally think 23 min RT is close to 'about 17 min '.
Thanks in advance
Rod's Rule applies here - "The more you do not tell us, the more we cannot help you."

Please provide the specifics of column you're using as well as what you think it's equivalent to. There could be a subtle difference that is not subtle in its effect on alpha...
Thanks,
DR
