Chromeleon 7: Problems with moving data to new Vault

Hello Chromforum,

I have encountered some problems with moving my old data to a new Data Vault in Chromeleon 7.2.9.3
Neighter in the the Chromeleon Help nor on the Internet there seemed to be any information addressing such an issue, so maybe someone here can help ..

The original 10 GB ChromeleonLocal Vault was 89% full and the standard warning message was displayed:
„ChromeleonLocal has reached 89% of it’s maximum allowed capacity. Move some sequences to another Data Vault or permanently delete them“

Fair enough… so I created a new local Vault via the Data Vault Manager, copied the Anion-folder (about 5 GB) from the original Vault into the new one and checked if it is still working – which it did – and subsequently deleted the folders from the original Data Vault (and also emptied the bin).

All the Anion data is now accurately displayed in the newly created Vault when accessing it from the main Data Processing tab – and the former repository in the original Data Vault appears to be empty - so far, so good.

Now it’s getting weird:
When I go to the original Vault and go to Properties→Database Statistics, it tells me that it is still 86% full. Correspondingly, the new Vault supposedly only contains 300MB of Data – despite apparently containing all the old sequences and Audit trails (ammounting to 5GB) when accessing it from the main Data tab. And of course, the initial warning message is still there.

There is definitely more than enough free disk space on the PC … pretty sure I’m just too stupid to click the right buttons..

Bye and have a nice time everyone
Ok so you have to change the old data vault to "read only" and restart the PC, then Chromeleon automatically uses the new vault.

Not exactly a solution for moving the data to an new vault but I guess that's not neccessary anyway.
Out of curiosity - what does this Vault do? Is it a database where it stores raw files instead of storing on a file system? Is it remote and works over the network? Will it duplicate files on filesystem or it writes ONLY to that vault?

I've never heard of such functionality in CDS..
