Also, I am getting a false Hydrogen peak on my aux TCD channel with Nitrogen as carrier injecting the stupid blank as well. I do understand that Hydrogen and Helium are closely eluting on this column so that may possibly the Helium carrier. My question is--is this the norm for RGA GC? I work on GCs and even on RGA GCs but my experience with the actual application up to now is limited. I know I know it will be suggested to check the valves, etc but I just wanted to know is this normal for RGA analysis? If so, how in the hell do you give accurate values for Hydrogen, oxygen and Nitrogen???
