I wish to quantify the catechin in my plant extracts with 1%-7.5% Tween 80 using a C18 column. I have seen studies that analyzed cloud point extracts in HPLC but won't the samples bubble and cause problems? Has anyone tried analyzing polyphenols in polysorbate solutions? I was thinking maybe diluting it 10-100x (to fit within calibration curve as well) but will this damage the column?
Are you thinking about micellar chromatography? Is you extract containing Tween, or is the mobile phase for the LC containing Tween?
