Discussions about GC and other "gas phase" separation techniques.

I am getting negative peaks when analyzing a standard containing benzyl benzoate in GC-APCI-TOF-MS, both when I extract the molecular ion and the M+H. What could be a possible explination for this? (The problem is not observed for other compounds in the standard)
