Hello all,
we have acquired a 120V 7820 ex-US (2011 build w. UEPC´s for 2x FID) and converted to our local 230V by swapping heater shroud & AC board.
After that it initially would not heat higher than 280C but bail out with a thermal shutdown.

We find that the oven is still displayed as "120V" in the GC Remote App´s display (Configure Instrument) and as of now we have found no way to change this.
As an aside: the info button for the displayed "120V" says that it would either read as "Standard" or "Fast" - same as it does on the 6890.

The 7820 service manual states on p 218 that "The default oven type in a new logic board is 220V; the oven type must be modified according to the actual power voltage after replacing the new logic board." meaning that there ought to be a way to make that change.

Does anyone know what trick is needed in order to change the oven type? The "classic" [.][.] does not seem to work here.

After reseating connections, removal & reinstallation of logic board the oven now heats reliable to 425 and stays there - thermal shutdown did not occur again.

Since our 7820 has the old style Universal EPC´s w. thumb screws and matching FID´s, FRIT data is required inside the detectors.

After updating the firmware of the 7820 to current (A.01.018.007 as of Jan 4 2024) we also wanted to update the FRIT data but the roll down menu for the FRIT XML file (from within GC Firmware Updater) does not show the serial numbers of our detectors.

I can see only "about 100" serial numbers of FID´s in the roll down menu, starting w. 0000000 and ending at ca. 098xxxxx where our FID´s are 11350322 and 11350325.
The XML file w. FRIT information is dated xx.xx.2023 so I would have hoped to find data for our (possibly replaced at later stage?) FID´s.

Does anyone have a link to find the correct FRIT data for these 2 FID´s? No access to Agilent intranet for us.

Any help is appreciated - we still have to perform check out tests and do not yet know whether displayed flow values measure up w. real world values.

Thanks for reading and in advance for assistance
Joe
