Large Diameter GC column

I seem to remember (from years ago) that there was a vendor that sold large diameter capillary columns: somewhere in the range of 700 um.

If anyone knows of any vendor that sells GC columns larger than the usual 530 um please let me know.

Hi adam

Supelco does have a few at 0,75mm ID. They can also provide a custom made one at 0,75mm from the most common phases.

Some readily availble phases are:
Carbowax
100% methylsiloxane

Perhaps you are thinking of the old multi-bore capillary columns that the Russians developed? They used to be carried by Alltech but I don't know if anyone still has them. People I talked to said performance was spotty but that was many years ago. They are honeycombed structure of many smaller capillaries in one larger bore column.

If you really need that kind of capacity, why are you not looking at packed?
