A technical rep here just sent me the following link whereby they inject a sample dissolved in 3/4 of a 0.1 N HCl solution:

Rob is correct. 0.1N HCl is very commonly used and injected when performing dissolutions.

Are these HCl solutions also injectable into LC- MS systems and not just HPLC?

It's also injectible in LC-MS...
