I must develop a method to determine ethylenethiourea residues in raspberries by HPLC-UV. I tried with a silica column and hexane / isopropanol 80:20 at 40°C. Peak comes out at 6.5 min but with a tailing factor of 2.2. Resolution needed with raspberry matrix will not allows such a tailing factor. Could you help me to improve it?
Perhaeps HILIC mode with CH3CN / water 90:10 will be good?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

HILIC should work.
You can tried Acetonitrile and Aqueous buffer [0.0!% H3PO4] with 50: 50 polarity and used c-18 column with 250 nm length.
Wavelength as you taken in your method.
This system should work
