SC query test?

Trying to upgrade to chemstation E, but I can't get the computer and MSD to connect to each other. When I run "check networking" script from the Instrument Configuration program, it says that I pass for loopback, pinging, etc., but I'm failing the SC Query test. I can't find anything about this in the literature or google (ha.. like internet searches ever help for this stuff :) ). Any change anyone run into this network error-- and fixed it? :)

Edit: Using agilent 5975, 6890. Subnetwork for the msd, gc, and pc. Works great with chemstation d.. not working with my e installation.

Found the problem.. the SICL I/O library wasn't installed, or not installed correctly. Just pop in the CD and goto support/ and run the setup.

Interesting fact: chemstation e.01.01 requires 5975 firmware 5.02.02. When flashing, make sure you have a bootp server running to accept the request from the MSD when it reboots with the new firmware. You don't have to use it afterwards, but its required just to get the MSD to boot for the first time.
