hi guys
can anybody suggest me a good headspace method for estimation of Methanol, Acetone and Dimethylformamide , i tried DB-624 column but its giving me bad peak shape, my sample is soluble in DMA,DMSO and N-methyl2-Pyrollidone also, but not soluble in water

Gclc,

I you have the European Pharmacopoeia nearby, you could check the EP method for identification and control of residual solvents. There are information about control of class 1 and 2 of residual solvents. I haven't seen acetone mentioned in it, because acetone is class 3 solvent, and the Pharmacopoeia gives the method only for identification and control of class 1 and class 2 solvents. But you could use this pharmacopoeial method for your purpose.

Regards
