Hi,

I want to know how to prepare std compounds for HPLC in the following concentrations?

100 ppm in 10 ml/1ml
1000ppm in 10 ml

Is there any simple formula to remember this?

1ppm = 0.001 mg/mL ;)

>> 1ppm = 0.001 mg/mL

More precisely 1ppm = 1 mg/kg

For samples diluted in water 1ppm = 1mg/L since 1L of water is 1kg

For samples diluted in solvent you need to take the solvents density into account since 1L is not 1kg.
