can anybody tell me why we are using sodium tartrate di hydrate during KF auto titrator calibration?

Because it is not hygroscopic and contains a known, stable amount of water.

As Tom said, it's a primary standard ( water content 15.66% mass/mass ), it's readily soluble in methanol, plus it's the suggested calibrant by the USP for samples with trace amounts of water ( < 1% ), although you can also use water.

THANKS BOTH OF YOU.

We use water as the KF calibrant. We are usually looking at higher levels, from a few percent to 90%. We use a gas-tight syringe, 100 ul.
