Dear Colleagues,

PAH analysis
GC-MS, PTV-injector (glas gooseneck liner with "frit"), He-cariergas
Problem components: indeno(1,2,3-cd)pyrene, dibenzo(a,h)anthracen and benzo(g,h,i)perylene

We have a problem with contamination in our GC-system, I think in the inlet. And have tried all sorts of things to eliminate the problem without any succes. (other methods, cleaning fase off 350 °C (PTV)). And still will the problem components appear in the solvents afterwards.
Concentration of which the problems manifest significant is of 300 p.p.b (ng/ml). Split/splitless injection with a splitless time of 3 minutes.

An other problem is that we have problems with the detection of acenaphthylene (MS-MS).

Thanks in advance for your help

"problems with the detection of acenaphthylene"

The problem is solved.

We work in SIM now.

The other problem is under control.
