We want to buy a refurbished Agilent GC-MS. One vendor offers Agilent "7890-5975 XL, add on SIM".
Does anyone knows meaning of "add on SIM"?

Hello

If GC-MSD comes with original Agilent MSD Chemstation (Masshunter) software SIM is integral part of method parameter setting.
So I can only think of different control software with additional "add on SIM"

But as mentioned in previous post whoever is selling this GC-MSD should answer any question about it.

SIM has been available on Agilent systems since at least the 5971, probably even before that. The only difference is the ability to do SIM and Scan simultaneously, which came with the fast scanning upgrade starting with the 5973. It could mean this 5975 has that capability but agree that the vendor should be able to explain it, if not, they really don't know what they are selling.
