bonjour,**

I have some problems with a solvent (DMSO: dimethylsulfoxide) and my column DB-WAX. in fact the profile of DMSO is not repeatable and i used this solvent as a diluent for elaborate a method of purity on a other solvent (Isobutylamine). Do you think that DMSO can react with my column?

Thanks....
Dear demi_lune,

because the boiling point of dmso is very high, i think vaporization of dmso in injector should be unstable. therefore the repeatability was not good.

as you know, volatile solvent is better sample solvent for gc analysis. :D

thanks,
